Wall Street closes at a record for the first time since end of January
Investing.com – Brazil stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Real Estate, Financials and Consumption sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa added 0.45%.
The best performers of the session on the Bovespa were Grupo Vamos SA (BVMF:VAMO3), which rose 7.23% or 0.31 points to trade at 4.60 at the close. Meanwhile, Engie Brasil Energia SA (BVMF:EGIE3) added 5.19% or 2.15 points to end at 43.55 and Cvc Brasil ON (BVMF:CVCB3) was up 4.80% or 0.11 points to 2.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Brava Energia SA (BVMF:BRAV3), which fell 6.90% or 1.37 points to trade at 18.48 at the close. Petroreconcavo SA (BVMF:RECV3) declined 4.67% or 0.72 points to end at 14.70 and BRF SA (BVMF:BRFS3) was down 4.64% or 1.01 points to 20.75.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the B3 Stock Exchange by 605 to 316 and 52 ended unchanged.
The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was down 0.15% to 25.99 a new 3-months low.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 1.72% or 58.28 to $3,336.72 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 5.11% or 3.50 to hit $65.01 a barrel, while the September US coffee C contract fell 4.21% or 13.75 to trade at $312.80 .
USD/BRL was up 0.43% to 5.52, while EUR/BRL rose 0.70% to 6.41.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.48% at 97.54.
